PBC POS
Smarter restaurant operations
A point-of-sale system for independent restaurants, built by the people who build the hardware it runs on. Ordering, kitchen tickets, inventory and reporting in one system — designed to keep working when the internet does not.
Where this is up to: PBC POS is in active development and is not available to buy yet. There is no price list, no release date and nothing to sign.
What it covers
Four areas, built in that order. A till that cannot take an order is not useful, so the till comes first.
- 01
POS
Taking orders, splitting bills, handling tax and printing receipts — the part of the night that has to work when the room is full and nobody has time to fight the till.
- 02
Kitchen
Tickets to the kitchen the moment an order is sent, on paper or on a screen, so the pass sees the same thing the server entered rather than a shouted version of it.
- 03
Inventory
What was sold, what it used and what is running low — tied to the menu rather than tracked in a separate spreadsheet nobody updates after week three.
- 04
Cloud
Sales and reports reachable from outside the building, with the tills carrying on through an internet outage and syncing once it returns. A POS that stops when the Wi-Fi does is not a POS.
Who it’s for
- Independent restaurants and cafés running one till or a few.
- Owners who already have a POS and spend too much of the week working around it.
- Kitchens where the gap between what was ordered and what reached the pass costs real money.
Why us
Most POS companies sell you software and leave the hardware to somebody else, which is how a restaurant ends up with three numbers to call when the printer stops. We already build, supply and support the machines, the networking and the screens across Toronto & the GTA — so the system and the box it runs on come from the same place.
It is also being built with one restaurant’s actual working day in mind rather than a feature list, which is the part that usually goes missing.

Register your interest
No cost, no commitment, and nothing to sign. It puts you on the list to hear first, and tells us what to build.
PBC POS is a product in development by PC Builders Canada. Nothing on this page is an offer to sell, and no feature described here should be relied on until it ships. If you need a point-of-sale system working this month, say so when you register and we will tell you honestly whether waiting makes sense.
