from $29 per session

Where
Done remotely
A screen-sharing session at a time we book. Nothing to drop off or carry.

Who it is for. Anyone whose problem is software, settings or an account rather than a broken part, and who would rather not carry a machine anywhere.

Book and pay for this now

For the options below the scope is fixed, so the price is too. Pay now and we get in touch to arrange a time. This does not reserve a slot by itself.

Payment is taken by Stripe; your card details never reach this site. You will get a receipt from Stripe straight away, and we will contact you to arrange a time. If it turns out remote troubleshooting is not what your problem needs, we say so and refund it rather than doing work that does not help.

Starting prices

  • Short session, up to 30 minutes

    $29

  • Full session, up to an hour

    $49

  • Follow-up session

    from $25

Within 30 days, on the same problem.

Starting prices in Canadian dollars, excluding tax and parts. The final figure is confirmed in writing after diagnosis, and nothing is charged that you have not agreed to first.

What this includes

  • Screen sharing over a link you open, with nothing installed permanently
  • Software faults, settings, updates, email and printer setup
  • Slowdowns and startup problems diagnosed live
  • You see every change as it is made, and can stop at any point
  • A short written summary of what was changed

Problems this solves

  • A program or a Windows setting that will not behave
  • Email, a printer or an account that has stopped working
  • A machine that got slower after an update
  • Something you would rather be shown than have done out of sight

What affects the price

The figures above are where this starts. These are what move it.

  • How long it takes, booked as a 30 or 60 minute session
  • Whether the fault turns out to be hardware, in which case we stop and the session fee goes towards the repair

Before you book

None of this is required to get a quote. It just means the job starts rather than waiting on an email.

  • The machine switched on and connected to the internet
  • The password you use to sign in to it
  • Any error message written down or photographed

Worth knowing

Not everything can be fixed remotely. If the fault turns out to be hardware we stop, say so, and the session fee goes towards the repair rather than being charged twice.

Where we work

We cover Toronto and the surrounding Greater Toronto Area, including North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke, Markham, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Mississauga, Brampton. Work is done at our bench or at your home or office, whichever suits the job, and we will tell you which one actually makes sense rather than defaulting to the more expensive option.
