Where a clean-up cannot be trusted. Your files are copied off first.

Starting prices in Canadian dollars, excluding tax and parts. The final figure is confirmed in writing after diagnosis, and nothing is charged that you have not agreed to first.

What this includes

  • Offline scan, so nothing active can hide from it
  • Browser hijacks, toolbars and unwanted startup items removed
  • Check for the route it came in by
  • Password change guidance for anything that may have been exposed
  • Windows and browser updates applied before handover

Worth knowing

Some infections are better answered by a clean install than a clean-up, particularly where banking or work accounts have been used on the machine. We will tell you which case you are in rather than charging for a removal we do not trust.

Common questions

Will my files survive a virus removal?
In almost every case yes, and your files are copied off before anything invasive is done. The exception is ransomware that has already encrypted them, which removal does not undo, and we will say so plainly rather than take the job on false hope.
Is a clean-up or a clean install better?
A clean-up is usually enough. Where the machine has been used for banking or work accounts, or where the infection had administrator access, a clean install is the only honest answer because nobody can prove a deep infection is fully gone.
